I just had the most delicious tomato sandwich known to man. Straight from my my garden. When I cut into it I had flashes of a life, a real life. Sowing seeds with a wrinkled hand. A care for a land that feeds you. A people with pride for the earth. The Cherokee Purple. Best Tomato Ever.
There's just something primal about eating a tomato straight from your garden. I felt like a bear eating it's first kill in the spring. You taste earth, rocks, sun. You lick the juice sliding down the curve of your wrist. It's yours. And life goes on.
